Who We Are

Pilot Learning is an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) specialising in EASA-compliant theoretical training for LAPL(A) and PPL(A) student pilots.

Pilot Learning is recognised as the first ATO in France fully dedicated to LAPL(A) and PPL(A) theoretical training, offering a modern and structured approach adapted to today’s student pilots.

Our organisation was created with a clear objective:
to deliver high-quality, accessible and regulation-compliant aviation theory training, using flexible online tools and instructor-led support.

Walter DUBOIS

Director of Pilot Learning

A pilot from an early age, Walter Dubois developed a strong passion for the transmission of knowledge, deeply rooted in his long-standing practice of judo and aviation. His career reflects a natural ability to combine discipline, pedagogy, and operational excellence.

Driven by an entrepreneurial mindset, Walter has continuously contributed to the development of aeronautical training programs, with a clear ambition: to elevate pilot learning through innovation, rigor, and a strong safety culture. His experience spans instruction, operational flying, and leadership within flight training organizations.

Key experience and qualifications:

  • Commercial Pilot License (CPL) and Flight Instructor with over 25 years of experience
  • Head of Training for the Aisne Flying Organization
  • English PPL theoretical knowledge instructor at ELISA Aerospace Engineering School
  • BIA & CAEA instructor
  • Firefighting pilot on Air Tractor AT-802 for Titan Aerial Firefighting
  • More than 6,500 flight hours.

Hugues PATIN

Head of Training

Hugues Patin is a graduate of the Polytechnic University of Valenciennes. He began his career at Stelia Aerospace (Airbus subsidiary), where he participated in a wide range of missions, including technical documentation and the creation of a PART-145 maintenance workshop for the Airbus A400M program.

Naturally rigorous and highly committed, Hugues excels in team management, operational coordination, and instructional leadership. Alongside his role as an airline pilot for one of Europe’s leading carriers, he also conducts aircraft ferry flights across Europe through his company, Air Motion Service.

  • Chief Flight Instructor at the Louis Blériot Flying Organization
  • Deputy Head of Training at the Aisne Flying Organization
